There are two levels of ADSL available with fixed IP addressing:
Option 1: UnManaged “wires only” fixed IP ADSL service (requires no engineer visit and allows customer to choose own
modem/router).
Wires only ADSL does not require any wiring changes
therefore there is no need for a Telecom engineer to make a
physical visit to your office. Changes are made at
your local exchange in order to set you live.
You will also need a G.dmt compatible modem and/or a
suitable router. Domicilium can supply suitable
equipment including routers with wireless access if
required. In addition, if you require assistance with setting up
equipment within your office network then we can give advice.
Option 2: Managed fixed IP ADSL service (includes configured router and install at
site). Both of these services can provide speeds of up to 2Mbit/s
downstream and 256k upstream, however, this is dependent on
your premises location to the nearest exchange.
There is a contention ratio of 20:1 which means that up
to 19 other users can potentially be using the same
bandwidth allocation. This can in extreme circumstances
cause a reduction in speed to the ADSL service.
An installation/activation charge may be applicable - please contact
us for more details.
