Domicilium sign up to sell
ADSL services
PRESS RELEASE – August 2002
Domicilium are pleased
to announce that in conjunction with the Communications
Commission and other independent Isle of Man ISP's, they have
finally reached agreement with Manx Telecom to be able to sell
ADSL services. This now means that customers wishing to use
ADSL no longer have to purchase the internet portion of the ADSL
service from Manx Telecom. "We have been under pressure from
our customers for some time to be able to deliver ADSL
connections but have faced very considerable access connection
charges from Manx Telecom" commented Jon Allen, Managing
Director of Domicilium. He continued "with some flexibility
from Manx Telecom and considerable goodwill from the Isle of Man
Government it is great that we are now able to provide this
useful service to our customers."
Phil Adcock, the
Technical Director of Domicilium said "although ADSL is a highly
contended service which often does not provide the guaranteed
level of service a business needs, it can provide very cost
effective high speed web access. Our service comes through the
Manx Telecom's ADSL servers and so customers will need to sign
up with Manx Telecom and ourselves but we can co-ordinate this
for them"
