ISLAND GAMES UTILISES LATEST INTERNET TECHNOLOGY

The Natwest Island Games being held on the Island this month will be a showcase for more than the Island’s sporting abilities.

By taking advantage of the Islands expertise in internet technology – members of the pulbic and the press will be able to gain up-to-the-minute information on all the events and results online.

Domicilium, and internet provider based in Castletown, are assisting Datacentre to provide their online instantaneous results service by hosting their server in their resilient hosting centre ensuring that the website (www.islandgames.org.im) will allow the high levels of access it will be subject to during the Games and also providing hi-speed internet connections from all of the venues to allow the inputting of the results.

Domicilium’s Sales Manager, Robin Fallaize said “We were delighted to be asked to assist. The Games are the highlight of the Islands 2001 sporting calendar. The general public will receive fast and reliable access to the results and information contained on the comprehensive Island Games site designed by Datacentre. “

Also, Manx Radio, who again host with Domicilium, will be streaming their “Games Station 2001” Broadcasts live from their website (www.manxradio.com) so everyone can listen to the latest coverage.

Domicilium would like to wish all competitors the best of luck for the upcoming Games.
