As a separate country, independent of the UK, the Isle of Man enjoys a unique relationship with the
EU, being able to trade freely within it yet not being encumbered by Directives affecting member states.
Its tax-beneficial legislation, freeport, location and world class telecommunications make it a very
attractive location for e-business.

The tax strategy announced in 2002 means all local companies can pay zero tax.  This is has generated significant interest from portable profitable companies.
