Ash is the star of the Evil dead movies and was created by Ivan and Sam Raimi.
Ash and his friends discovered the Necronomicon Ex Mortis and reading from it summoned a great evil. This killed his friends and infected his hand which he cut off and replaced with a chainsaw. After his encounter with the evil spirit he was dragged through a time warp he ended up in medevel England fighting a Deadite army led by an evil clone of himself. His future after this uncertain he is believed to have reached home but may have visited the future first.
