Mr Tony Brown, MHK for Castletown today carried out the official opening of "Domicilium House" in the recently converted Methodist Chapel in Malew Street, Casteletown.

"I believe Castletown has a lot to offer businesses and their employees, it is very accessible, has a full infrastructure to meet everyone's needs, has access to modern secure services and communications, has a vibrant and varied business sector, is five minutes from the Islands airport and maybe most importantly it is a very pleasant, beautiful, historic and friendly town in which to operate business from and in which to work" Tony Brown, MHK explained to those attending the event.

In addition, Advanced Systems Consultants Limited, who's headquarter's are in Domicilium, held an "Open Day" to thank their clients for their continued support and to exhibit their new state-of-the-art hosting centre.

"Today also gives us the opportunity to formally introduce Domicilium Limited, formed as a venture with an international specialist technology investment company, which utilises Advanced Systems' expertise Domicilium will be bringing world business into and be dealing with it through the Island", explained Managing Director, Phil Adcock.

Mr Brown MHK announced that the world operations for Domicilium will be here at "Domicilium House" in Castletown where there is considerable scope for expansion together with their intention to open other hosting centres around the world but with the Isle of Man as an important part of that world business.

Mr Brown MHK went on to explain that this significant investment has enabled Advanced Systems to create the totally resilient environment necessary for a international standard hosting centre which ensures that the centre is not vulnerable to external disruptions such as temperature and humidity changes, fire or loss of power and can be strictly controlled and monitored to ensure safety and security at all times.

This standard will be maintained by Advanced Systems' professional, dedicated, highly experienced and trained workforce where the company's policy of providing extensive personal training for their workforce to ensure that they are the best.

Mr Brown MHK advised that "Due to recent policy advancements and legislative changes the island is very well advanced as a business centre for carrying out worldwide E-business. The introduction of the Electronic Transactions Bill 2000 puts us in the first wave of the world market and that is vital for our success. There is no doubt that ventures such as this are vital is we are to ensure the Island is to remain successful in the future in this highly competitive new world"
