Famous as the aircraft used by Major William Barker to bring down 4 Fokker D.VIIs in one action, resulting in a Victoria Cross, the Snipe was the next progression from Sopwith's more famous Camel. The aircraft was introduced in 1918 and saw service with many countries right up to 1928.
